Vern Dorschner

Vern Dorschner

Vern was born on March 15, 1941 in Jackson, MN to Irvin & Irene (Kattowsky) Dorschner.

The Dorschner’s moved to Owatonna when Vern was 15. He graduated from St. Mary‘s College in Winona with a degree in teaching, he continued on and received his Masters from Winona State University. Vern Married Jane Theis in Winona, MN on August 12, 1967. Vern and Jane made their home in Owatonna, where he taught Jr. High School for 6 years. In 1970 they moved to Brainerd, where Vern accepted a job teaching psychology, at Central Lakes College, which he retired from in the end of 2000. Vern and Jane also have an antique space in one of the Crosby Malls. Their love of antiquing started as a family activity, many years ago. Vern loved gardening and bird watching. He had a gifted talent as a photographer, and has taken many beautiful pictures. He also enjoyed fishing with family and friends. Above all else, Vern cherished his family.
